In episode 25, when Eren is fighting Annie, he is seen in what is called “rage/flame” mode (this name is given by fans I believe, though not sure).

It was Eren’s father, Grisha Jaeger, who found the origin of Titans, and sought to steal the power of the Founding Titan by eating the queen. Grisha did go on to help the cause, starting a family and continuing to investigate the ongoings of Paradise Island. My interpretation is that the moment he ate Frieda was the point of no return, where symbolically he truly inherited Kruger’s will and thus his eye colour changed.

Why did Eren Titan fuse with Annie?

Just as Eren claims that he will destroy the world, he bites out a chunk of meat from the Female Titan’s neck, revealing Annie’s real body. This gives Annie a chance to use her hardening ability, encasing herself in a crystal, which causes her Titan body to start merging with Eren as well.

Why does Eren have so much rage and fire?

Well that part was added in the anime and wasn’t in the manga. But the “rage” was just Eren’s sheer determination and will power to defeat annie and not let her escape, especially after everything she’s done. As for the “fire” thing, I’m pretty sure it’s just a result of Eren pushing his Titan abilities too far.

What does Eren look like in his original form?

In his Founding Titan form, Eren is mostly skeletal in appearance, with spikes growing out of the back of his elongated spine which causes his upper body to become widely disproportionate and to massively tower over the Colossus Titans in the Walls. This makes him the largest titan ever to date in the series.

What happened to Eren’s titan form?

Burst into flames. That’s not really a solution, it’s just what happens. the heats gotta go somewhere. It’s likely Eren pushed his titan form far beyond what it was capable of and it couldn’t cope. Maybe it carried on functioning through sheer willpower of the user forcing it to go on. There is an out of universe explanation though.
