Why is one of my arms more veiny than the other?

Usually the arm of your dominant side will be more vascular due to the fact that it is used more, but it may also be because your vein and arterial layout in your left arm is different from that in your right arm. (Veins are differently distributed from those in your right arm…or not as close to the skin…)

Bulging veins can occur due to: Temporarily rising blood pressure and/or body temperature. When you’re exercising or working with your hands, blood flow in the area increases. Veins also swell in warmer conditions, as the body sends blood toward the surface of the skin to cool down.

Why do my veins look different?

Some reasons you see them are benign, such as having very pale skin or low body fat or being a weightlifter.
