Why painting is prohibited in Islam?

In Islam, it is forbidden to draw or paint any living thing with its head attached, as it is believed that this is an attempt of the creation trying to the work of the creation. So, if you draw or paint any living thing, the head have to be left out. Because a man without a head is not a man.
