Why should we recite durood Sharif?

It is the duty of every Muslim to recite Durood Sharif, which means Peace Be Upon Prophet Muhammad, as much as possible, especially because it brings us closer to Allah and His Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). This divine blessings is called Durood Shareef.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “When any one of you prays, let him begin by praising Allaah, then let him send blessings upon the Prophet ﷺ, then let him ask for whatever he wants.” (Tirmidhi, classed as saheeh by al-Albaani).

Darood Sharif is broadly translated to ‘peace be upon Prophet Muhammad’. Recital of the same brings the Muslim closer to Allah and His prophet.
