Will a text say delivered if the phone is off?

No. If the phone is off the message will not be delivered.

What happens when you send a text to someone whose phone is off?

The sender sends the message to their carrier, where it is stored and then forwarded to the recipient’s carrier. If the recipient’s carrier cannot be reached, the message is retried for a period of time – hours at least and perhaps days.

How long do undelivered texts last?

The expiry time depends on carrier preferences. Often at little as 24 hours in Europe/Asia and as much as 7 days in the US. More mature SMS markets tend to use shorter expiry times as the longer the undelivered remains, the more untimely it becomes.

Can you delete a text if it hasn’t been delivered?

When you send a text and it doesn’t say delivered?

From my understanding, when your message says delivered under it then the person received it. If the word “delivered” dont show it means they are on the phone and it will say delivered once they hang up. It means that the message was not sent to their phone.

The texts are sent to you and deleted off temporary state 🙂 All your text are saved and once your are back on air they arrive all at one time. depending on your provider.
