Will I be able to use voice services if I switch off data on my Jio SIM?

You will be able to make or receive voice calls, video calls and also send or receive SMS even if data is switched off on your Jio SIM being used in a VOLTE phone.

Does VoLTE work over wifi?

VoLTE uses LTE network, while Wi-Fi Calling uses your Wi-Fi network for extended network coverage and enhanced voice & SMS experience.

Can I use Jio Sim in non VoLTE phone?

Another option if your phone does not support VoLTE is to download the Jio4GVoice app from the Google Play Store and dial 1977 for the activation process. You will receive a confirmation SMS from Jio asking you to tele-verify the SIM. If you wish to activate both voice and data services, dial 1977 from your Jio number.

Sounds like more of an issue with your network connection. Turn off your phone and remove sim card and battery. Leave for 10 minutes – while waiting check that your sim holder and sim card are clean. replace battery and sim card and reboot.
