Will next replace final year MBBS exam?

NEXT (more commonly known as National Exit Exam for MBBS) will be a single window examination which will replace NEET-PG exam & MCI Screening exam (FMGE: Foreign Medical Graduate Examination). It will be implemented from 2022. This exam will be mandatory for Indian as well as foreign medical graduates.

Which MBBS Batch will give next?

NEXT is a single-window examination that will be replacing three major examinations NEET-PG & Foreign Graduate Medical Examination in India. A batch of 2017 MBBS will be the first batch to appear for the test in the year 2022. It is mandatory for all the students of MBBS final year & it will be conducted in two phases.

Is NEXT exam 2023 confirmed?

The National Exit Test ( NExT) will be conducted in the first half of 2023, informed Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Mansukh Mandaviya. The decision was made in a review meeting with the National Medical Commission (NMC) today, July 30.

Will next replace final professional exam?

The NeXT will replace the final year undergraduate examination and will also be the basis for admission to postgraduate specialty courses, replacing the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (PG). It will also form the basis of admissions to PG medical courses.

Is next implemented?

Three years from the implementation of the NMC Bill 2019, the Exit Test, NEXT, will be operational, thus replacing NEET-PG examination in the process as well.

Is there any exit exam for MBBS?

National Exit Test (abbreviated as NExT) is a proposed examination for all MBBS students in India that is required to pass the final year and obtain a license to practice medicine. Admissions to postgraduate courses will be based on the merit of a candidate in NEXT.

Will 2017 batch give next?

About 1.40 lakh students took NEET PG exams last year. NeXT will be an online exam and the question paper will be based on the syllabus of undergraduate medical programs. The NeXT question paper will consist only of MCQ -type questions.

NExT, on the other hand, will be based on clinical questions. NExT is expected to be implemented by 2022. The 2016 batch MBBS students will have to appear in the first NExT exam.

NEW DELHI, MARCH 28: The Union Cabinet has approved certain amendments in the National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill as per which a National Exit Test (NEXT) may soon be introduced as a mandatory licentiate exam only after clearing which MBBS students will be allowed to practise.
