Are bomber planes obsolete?

Heavy bombers, a staple of 20th century warfare, are largely obsolete in modern times, largely because of developments in ICBM and cruise missile technology. The largest use of heavy bombers, the delivery of large bombs (you probably would have guessed that) is mostly done by cruise and ballistic missiles.

Does the UK have any strategic bombers?

Because the UK has no strategy. But that aside the last British “strategic bomber” was the Vulcan. I think it was used in the Falklands war to miss the runway at Port Stanley. In principle it could carry nuclear weapons, but it is not a stand off weapon and thus vulnerable.
