Are share prices same on NSE and BSE?

The same applies to share prices. NSE and BSE are two different exchanges for trading shares, same like the supermarket and vegetable market. NSE has a very high trading volume, implying a large number of buyers and sellers as compared to its peer stock exchange BSE. Hence, the price difference.

Are stocks listed on both BSE and NSE?

A company can have its listing in both BSE and NSE, or only in either one. If a company has its listing in both, the prices of its share value in BSE and NSE may be different as it all depends on the number buyers and sellers. Number of listings is higher in BSE whereas trade volume is more in NSE.

Is there any difference between NSE and BSE price of same stock?

Yes, there is a slight difference in the prices of the same stock on NSE and BSE. For example, If XYZ stock is trading at ₹ 50 on NSE, it may be trading at ₹ 49.5 on BSE depending on how liquid the stock is. In the case of illiquid stocks, the difference in prices may be higher.

Are there any shares which are not listed on NSE?

There are some shares which are not listed on the NSE and you can only trade them on the BSE. Some popular stocks which are exclusively available for trading on the BSE are SpiceJet and Claris Lifesciences. Almost all share brokers tend to be members of both the NSE and BSE.

How many companies are there in the BSE?
