The Spanish Legion was very similar to the French Foreign Legion in its conception in the beginning, as it was meant to be its equivalent. Although it is somewhat different now, they are still active, but you have to be a Spanish citizen to join. Spain have the Spanish legion,equal to the French foreign legion.
