Can we demodulate DSB-SC using envelope detector?

Generally an envelope detector can’t be used to demodulate a DSB-SC. Demodulating a signal means to get back your original signal that was actually transmitted by any modulating techniques, or rather types. If the message is transmitted after modulating its amplitude, it’s called amplitude modulation.

How a modulating signal can be detected using envelope detector?

An envelope detector can be used to demodulate a previously modulated signal by removing all high frequency components of the signal. The capacitor and resistor form a low-pass filter to filter out the carrier frequency.
