NEW DELHI: Application Reference Number (ARN) should not be considered mandatory by businesses for buying goods from vendors, GST Network said today.

Can I bill with Arn number?

You can supply goods or services or both on bill of supply without mentioning GSTIN and/or ARN.

How do I get my GST number after Arn?

Step 1: Login to the GST portal and go to Services > Track Application Status option. Step 2: Select the option from drop down against the Module as Registration. Step 3: You may choose to know the application status from the ARN or SRN or submission date as well.

Is Arn and GST number same?

Application Reference Number (ARN) is completely different from GST number. ARN is just an reference number which shows as a proof that you have applied for GST Number, Where as GST Number is your company Tax Identification Number. So, you cannot use ARN as GST.

Can a current account be opened without GST?

To carry out any financial transaction for your business, you require to set up a Current Account. However, GST is not mandatory to open a Current Account. There is no GST on Current Bank Account.
