Can you ask for forgiveness in Dua?

The duas are prayers of supplication. You can recite duas as a special way to ask Allah for forgiveness. Some options include: “They said, “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”” [7:23]
