Do planes fly because of Bernoulli?

Bernoulli’s equation is based on energy conservation and fluid movement. It is widely used to explain how planes fly: “The air pressure under the wing is higher than the pressure above the wing since the speed there is higher. Bernoulli’s equation was developed in 1738 by Swiss physicist Daniel Bernoulli.

How do planes fly in Bernoulli’s principle?

Since high pressure always moves toward low pressure, the air below the wing pushes upward toward the air above the wing. The wing, in the middle, is then “lifted” by the force of the air perpendicular to the wing. The faster an airplane moves, the more lift there is.
