Does IP2 mean eligibility passed?

At IP 2 stage (which mostly happens at your local visa office-LVO) your application gets checked for eligibility, i.e that whether the information provided by you is correct, you meet all the requirements of the stream you are applying for.

What is background check in express entry?

Background check (BGC) is a procedure to verify the criminal and/or security background of visa applicants to ensure they’re admissible to Canada. Background check is a generic term for criminality check, security screening and information sharing.

What is IP2 in Canada Immigration?

Background check: In Progress (IP2) – The “Background check” status message will change to “We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information“.

What happens in IP1?

IP1: This will happen one or two days after your medical. Sometimes on the same day itself. BG status message in this stage will be “Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.”.

How long it take to get PR after AOR?

According to IRCC most applications are processed within 6 months or less. The 6 months processing time starts when your application meets the completeness check. You can use Case Specific Enquiry (CSE) / Webform to enquire about the status of your application if it exceeds 6 months.

How long is IP1 stage?

Is it possible that IRCC completed all its IP2 checks in one day?

It’s not even logically possible that the IRCC completed all its IP2 related checks in a single day. And there are people who wait over 2–3 months after IP2 to get their PPRs. Those online statuses on your profile are extremely unreliable, often not accurate and don’t mean a great deal.

What do the medicals passed and IP1 mean?

MEP – Medicals passed: review of medical results changes from “You do not need a medical exam.” to “You have passed the medical exam.” IP1 – “In progress” 1: Background check changes to “Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.”

How long does it take to get a PPR after IP2?

2. Meds Passed – Medicals Pass and file is initially opened to check for R10 satisfaction at the CIO (Central Intake Office); 3. BG IP (1) – Background Check in Progress for the first time – usually happens on the same day your Meds Pass. At this stage they check for all documents and that whether the applicant is not missing any documents.
