How do you keep score in the game Phase 10?

The scoring is as follows:

  1. Each numbered card from 1-9 scores 5 points each.
  2. Each numbered card from 10-12 scores 10 points each.
  3. Each Skip card scores 15 points each.
  4. Each Wild card scores 25 points each.

How do you determine who wins Phase 10?

THE WINNER: The first player to complete Phase 10 at the end of a hand is the winner. If two or more players complete Phase 10 in the same hand, then the player with the fewest total points is the winner. In the event of a tie, the players that tied replay Phase number 10. The first one to go out is the winner.

Skip cards cannot be used as a part of a phase, and they cannot be picked up from the discard pile. If the dealer starts the discard pile with a Skip card, the first player is skipped. To play a Skip card, simply discard it from your hand into the discard pile.

Can you pick up the whole discard pile in Phase 10?

If a Wild card is on the top of the discard pile at the begging of the game, it can be picked up. Skip cards cause another player to lose their turn (think Uno).

Do you have to discard in phase 10 to go out?

To go out, the player must be able to discard their entire hand, by discarding or hitting on other phases. The winner of the hand, and any other players who also complete their Phase, will advance to the next Phase for the next hand, while any player not able to complete their Phase remain stuck on that Phase.

  • When a player lays down their phase,they may also “play” on the phase.
  • Playing on a phase means playing a card that is valid for that phase.
  • After a player lays down their phase,they can play on phases completed by other players in subsequent turns.
  • A player must always end their turn by placing a card from their hand face up on top of the discard pile.

    Phase 10 can be played by 2 to 6 players. Choose a dealer to shuffle and deal out 10 cards face down, to each player. Players should not show their cards to one another. The remaining cards are placed in the center of the group to form the Draw Pile.
