Is backlog written in Marksheet?

If you have already received your academic transcript, then you should check in your mark sheet whether yours is marked as a Backlog or an Absenteeism.

Do board marks matter in engineering?

It matters just for eligibility criteria. If you have an aggregate of above 60\% in your 12th then you can meet the Eligibility criteria of almost all the entrance exams and companies. But since your from Engineering hence your Graduation marks will only matter for your placements.

Are backlogs mentioned in final degree?

No, it is not possible to get a degree if you are having backlog in a subject. You will not be able to receive your degree until and unless you clear all your backlogs.

Does first year engineering Marks matter?

No, the first semester marks as themselves are not really considered. At the time of placements, all the companies have a minimum GPA/CPI criteria.

Does 12 marks matter in engineering?

Yes. They matter. Many companies require students to have atleast 65\% aggregate in class XII. With 63\% aggregate, you will face a lot of challenges when you search​ for jobs or attend campus placements.

Do universities look at individual mark sheets when applying for admission?

If degree certificate is not available (if applying before graduation) then individual mark sheets would be sufficient. I have seen few instances where university is used to seeing individual marksheets, and when a students sent single cumulative transcripts, they asked for individual mark sheets.

Can I use my grade 11 marks in chemistry and physics?

If the student is taking Chemistry and Physics in their second semester of Grade 12, the student’s Grade 11 marks in these subjects will be used for these required courses as ‘predictors’ for Grade 12 requirements.

Which courses are used in the first semester of 12th?

If the student has completed English 12 and Pre-cal 12 in first semester of Grade 12, those courses are used (these will be final Grade 12 marks).

Do universities tell you your grade 11 marks when applying?

Only the university you apply to can tell your specifically, so that’s why I always say you should contact the university itself for specific information. What I can say is that if you’re in a semestered system, some grade 11 marks are often used for early admission decisions by many universities in Canada.
