Is it hard to get into Texas A&M graduate?

TAMU is selective with an acceptance rate of 69 percent, so interested students must meet some strict criteria to gain admissions. Graduate students wishing to attend Texas A&M must already possess a bachelor’s or equivalent professional degree from a regionally accredited institution.

How hard is it to get into the engineering program at Texas A&M?

Students can seek entry into an engineering major during the second semester of freshman year. Admissions numbers are offered from the A&M website (picture below). Their overall acceptance rate is 60\% (21,676 out of 35, 667 apps), but those are including the PSA and TEAM program students.

Among engineering majors, Petroleum has the highest admit bar and is cutrently ranked #1 by US News in the country. I can’t speak much for other schools within A&M, but within engineering Mechanical Engineering was unofficially held as the hardest program to get into.
