Is it worth studying at KAIST?

KAIST is one of the most reputable universities in Korea, obviously in the world as well but the hypes and perks are huge when you are in Korea. Koreans know that its very difficult to get into KAIST, its not easy for international students either!

Is it hard to study in KAIST?

During the Masters degree, you can take only 3 courses per semester which is not as stressful as an undergrad where you might be required to take up to 5 or more courses per semester, plus other projects or activities you will be engaging on. So yes, it is difficult to study at KAIST.

How can international students get into KAIST?

Eligibility Requirements :

  1. Current enrollment in a coursework program at KAIST.
  2. Undergraduate students must have completed at least two semesters before applying and graduate students must have completed one semester by the time of their departure.
  3. Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in your current KAIST courses.

Doesn’t really matter if you are Indian, or not. Also, it depends on what degree you are planning to pursue at KAIST. If it’s bachelor’s, a strong understanding of high school calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology will be very beneficial.

    I majored in Computer Science at KAIST where I attended from 2013 to 2017. The experience was absolutely amazing. Most of the professors graduated from good universities in the US so they are very good and can speak English well. In addition, KAIST students are generally very motivated, hardworking, and smart.
