Is there an age limit to ROTC?

A CONTRACTED Army ROTC Cadet must: Be a U.S. citizen. Be between the ages of 17 and 26.

Can you do ROTC after enlistment?

Your prior service can pave the way for your commission. If you’re a current or prior service enlisted Soldier interested in becoming an officer, the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) can be the ideal solution.

Can I Do Air Force ROTC if I’m in the Army?

Yes and No. You could be in the Army National Guard and take AFROTC classes. The second AFROTC needs to contract you so that you can complete the program and earn a commission, you would have to be released from the Army National Guard in order to contract with AFROTC.

Is it too late to join Army ROTC?

It is not too late to enter Army ROTC or even win a 2YR scholarship! You can simply attend the Cadet Initial Entry Training (CIET) and enter the advanced course as a Junior. Your sophomore year is considered your second year in the basic course.

What GPA do I need for ROTC?

ROTC Scholarship Qualifications. Must be at least 17 years of age. Must have at least a 2.5 GPA (3.0 for Air Force ROTC) Must meet minimum SAT and/or ACT requirements. Must have a high school diploma.

What GPA do you need to be in the Army?

The minimum high school GPA allowed is 2.5. You must score no lower than a 920 on your SAT and at least 19 on your ACT.

Do you have to go to MEPS for ROTC?

Do you have to go active duty after Air Force ROTC?

After a year in the POC, cadets find out what their jobs will be in the Air Force. Entering the POC obligates you to serve on active duty for four years. Upon graduation, cadets receive their commissions as second lieutenants and begin their careers.

Can you do Army ROTC in 2 years?

You can do the first two years of ROTC as long as you want (I did for 4 years, aced all the classes and it helped my gpa in college, cos ROTC classes count as credits, but since I wasn’t in enrolled in a 4 year degree I could move forward).

Do you have to serve in the Army after ROTC?

A: Young adults must serve as Officers in the Army after graduation if they have received an ROTC scholarship, OR if they have enrolled in the ROTC Advanced Course. Enrolling in the ROTC Basic Course (the first two years of college) does NOT obligate someone to serve unless they have also received a scholarship.

Does the Marine Corps have an ROTC program?
