Should I take multivariable calculus or linear algebra first?

You may take these course concurrently. They do not share any course material at all. We recommend to students that they consider completing Multivariable Calculus first, then engaging Linear Algebra, but it is not at all necessary to complete these courses in that order.

Is linear algebra higher than multivariable calculus?

Linear algebra (at least for me) was a much more theoretical course than multivariable calculus. I often suggest to take both of these courses at the same time, however, as they both provide concepts that can be applied to the other course.

What should I learn first calculus or linear algebra?

Linear algebra will make some things found in Calculus 3 a little more comfortable when you study them. The other view is that you want to continue learning Calculus, moving from Calc 2 to calc 3 without interrupting, so that you maintain skills and knowledge better about Calculus.
