What happens after AIT in the army?

What happens after AIT? Once you meet all of the AIT requirements and graduate from AIT, you usually have a short graduation ceremony. This is followed by 10 days of leave before receiving orders to join your unit at your next station of duty. AIT prepares you to become an expert in your MOS.

The 68C course is 52 weeks long, divided into 3 phases. Phase 1 is at Ft Sam Houston, TX, and is a short introductory course that evaluates the potential for success in the course. It presents a large amount of information in a short period.

How long is the graduation ceremony for Army AIT?

AIT graduations are more intimate than the graduation ceremony for basic training. The graduating class will be much smaller and the ceremony may only last thirty minutes. After the graduation ceremony is complete, Soldiers will complete the check-out process from AIT as they get ready to report to their next unit.
