What is PFD in piping?

A process flow diagram (PFD) is a diagram commonly used in chemical and process engineering to indicate the general flow of plant processes and equipment. The PFD displays the relationship between major equipment of a plant facility and does not show minor details such as piping details and designations.

What is the difference between PFS and PEFS?

P&ID is a Process or piping & Instrument Diagram. PFS means Process Flow Scheme and PEFS means Process Engineering Flow Scheme. The level of information available on P&ID symbols and on P&ID may change from company to company, but more or less they provide similar information.
