What is the benefit of PNP?

Benefits of PNP for Migrants Successful migrants get same privileges and benefits as enjoyed by the Federal Skilled Worker Migrants. No restriction on the subsidy approved by the government for education, healthcare and social benefits. Permanent Residence status with opportunity to apply for Canadian Nationality.

Can we move after AIPP?

No, people move out of provinces all the time (including those whose PR was obtained through some provincial nominee program), sometimes even not initially settle in their province of destination, which is questionable and should carry some risk.

What is the disadvantage of PNP?

On February 17, 2021, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) announced the Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIPP) became a permanent immigration program. The Pilot was launched in 2017 and since then 7340 immigrants were granted permanent residence under the program.

What are the benefits of AIPP for permanent resident?

The best thing about AIPP is that the person who migrated to Canada lets say with Work Permit (WP), he/she is eligible to apply for PR (Permanent Resident) just after completion of 6 months. Its easier for them to apply. And once they get PR, they are free to roam around anywhere in Canada. ONLY roam around and not work.

What is the AIPP program?

AIPP is a program designed specifically for Atlantic provinces ( NS, NB, NL and PEI). You need a job offer ( at least one year) from one of the designated employers ( check their website) to apply for AIPP program .

What is the difference between PNP and SINP?

They are separate programs and each one has its own merits and demerits. In PNP, you apply to a particular province if your NOC is in demand in that province. Some PNPs accept applications without job offers such as SINP, NS, Manitoba, OINP, NB etc and some other need job offers to apply like BC, NL etc.

What is the difference between work permit and AIPP?

If you have job offer, you will have work permit and land in Canada with a job in hand and after few months, you can lodge your application for PR. AIPP is better compared to some PNPs because you will have job in hand when you land in Canada. Hope that helps.
