What is the difference between Setzen and Sitzen?

Could someone please explain to me the difference between these two verbs? Setzen is a causative derivation of sitzen, i.e. sitzen means to sit and setzen means to cause to sit, to make sit. The relationship is analogous to that of to lie and to lay where to lay means to cause to lie, to make lie.
