What tests give you p-values?

When you run the hypothesis test, the test will give you a value for p. Compare that value to your chosen alpha level.

Are p-values critical values?

P-values and critical values are so similar that they are often confused. They both do the same thing: enable you to support or reject the null hypothesis in a test.

P-value is the probability that a random chance generated the data or something else that is equal or rarer (under the null hypothesis). We calculate the p-value for the sample statistics(which is the sample mean in our case).
